Refine and coaching levels
Get a calmer version of a draft that keeps your facts, and choose how much help you want.
When you’re writing a message, tap Refine. Sovela shows A calmer version of your draft, keeping your facts, numbers and dates as you wrote them. Anything it left out is listed under Left out; tap a line to put it back.
- Use this puts the calmer version in your message box. You can still edit it before sending.
- Keep my words leaves your draft as it was.
Nothing is sent until you tap Send, and Refine itself doesn’t keep your draft. If your draft is already fine, Sovela says so: “This already reads as calm and clear.”
How much help
Tap the wand at the top of Talk (Refine help) and choose:
- Write it for me: a full calmer version.
- Suggest changes: the calmer version, with the phrases that caught Sovela’s attention highlighted in your draft. This is where everyone starts.
- Point out one thing: just the one phrase to look at, with Show me a rewrite if you want more.
- No help: Refine is hidden.
Move down a level whenever you feel ready. The aim is to need less help over time.
What’s free
Sovela’s own suggestions are always free. Fuller rewrites come with Sovela coaching.
Notes only you see
After you send a message, Sovela may add a note visible only to you, if the message might not fit your ground rules. For example: an angry tone, or asking a child to pass something on. It never stops a message from being sent.
