When messages reach you
Digests, quiet hours and a daily limit, so messages arrive when you can handle them.
Go to Today → Protection → Boundaries: when messages reach you. The other parent never sees these settings.
- As they arrive, or In a digest at two times you choose (12:00 and 18:00 to start). With a digest, you can let short questions through: brief messages ending in a question come straight away.
- Quiet hours (21:00 to 07:00 to start): messages wait until they end.
- Limit messages per day: anything over the limit waits for your next digest or the morning.
Emergencies always come straight through.
How Sovela makes sure a message arrives
Sovela sends a notification, and the message counts as Delivered only when your phone confirms it, or when you open the thread. If your phone hasn’t confirmed it after a while, Sovela sends a text to your verified number, or an email if you haven’t added one. It doesn’t text during your quiet hours unless the message is urgent.
Notifications, texts and emails never name Sovela, the sender or what the message says. They read like “You have a new message.”
