Your organization on Sovela
Firms, practices and programs: members, roles, and what membership does and doesn't give.
Sovela sets up organizations (law firms, mediation practices, legal aid, court programs and nonprofits) and names the first owner. Members reach their organization from the admin area.
Membership never gives anyone access to a family’s records. Only the family’s consent, given to a professional, does.
Members and roles
Add a member by email. If they don’t have an account yet, send them an invitation instead: the link works for 14 days, only for that email address, and signing in with it makes their account. Open invitations are listed under Invited, where you can cancel one. Standard roles:
- Owner: everything in the organization.
- Admin: members, roles, the audit log, clients and outcomes.
- Billing: seats and billing.
- Member: the organization’s profile and members.
To change what someone can do, choose Change roles on their row. Make a custom role from permissions you hold yourself, and Edit it later. A custom role can be deleted once nobody holds it. No one can give a permission they don’t have, change their own roles, or remove the last owner.
Activity
The organization’s activity log shows the latest actions, including refused ones.
